SDG's Post #24 SDG Spring Carnival

In Winter We Planned,
In Spring We Celebrated.


The SDG Spring Carnival was celebrated in School on 7th Feb 2018.
350+ students from Grade Nursery to Grade- V participated.
200+ Parents were the August Audience.

We celebrated SDG's,
We danced for SDG's,
We sang for SDG's,
We performed Street Play on SDG's,
We even modeled for SDG's..

What Parents enjoyed the most was the SDG's Selfie Corner !!!

Celebrating SDG Spring Carnival was 
Preaching
Practicing 
& Promoting SDGs.

We also had 2 young Mothers as the winners of "I Love SDGs" Ramp Show.

All Ears ! Our PM On Air !


864 Students of Grade- VI to XII were all ready to participate in our Honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi's Live Streaming "Pariksha Par Charcha" on 16/2/2018.

Pin Drop Silence ! Engrossed were the Future Leader of our Country sitting in our classrooms, all ears to our Versatile Present Leader of our Country, Honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.

Thank You Mr. Prime Minister for your Words of Wisdom !
Thank You Mr. Prime Minister for Practicing SDGoal No.-4 (Quality Education).
We the citizens of India owe so much to you Sir....

SDG's Post #21 Startup the Startups

Do not put off till Tomorrow,
What you can do Today ;
So Startup the Startups !


Well we had 3 young men from Lovely Professional University visiting our School to interact with our students of Grade-VI who are participating in Global Enterprises Challenge 2018, an International Competition organized by Broadclyst Primary School in Collaboration with Microsoft,  USA.

The visitor were :
* Rishabh Rajpurohit - MBA Final Year
* Asif Dodhiya - B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering)
* Arvind Rajpurohit - BBA Second Year

Agenda of the Meeting:
-Startup business model
-Revenue Generation Model
-Funding

The three of them shared challenges and the success of their startups.
->"Wasure"- Online Laundry Service.
-> "Freakout Videos"- Film Making Channel.

Inquisitive and Enthusiastic 75 students of Grade- VI were full of questions. These 12 year old shared their ideas, discussed their group plan, sought advice and opinion  on the problems they see in the implementation of their business plan.

An important step of the journey they plan to take in the world of business....

SDG's Post #20 Wetlands

Wetlands are not Waste Lands,
Wetlands are Prized Lands.......

Look what more I learnt about Wetlands when I visited www.worldwetlandsday.org 

Wetlands Reduce Flooding,
Wetlands Replenish Drinking Water,
Wetlands Filter Waste and Improves Water Quality,
Wetlands Improve Urban Air Quality,
Wetlands Promote Human Wellbeing,
Wetlands Enable People To Earn A Living...............

Wetlands help in making our cities Safe, Resilient and Sustainable.
We need to Retain and Restore our Wetlands.
With this updated my knowledge on United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals
Goal No.- 6  (Clean Water and Sanitation)
Goal No.- 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities)
Goal No.- 13 (Climate Action)
Goal No.- 14 (Life Below Water)

SDG's Post #19 OUR WETLANDS

Promise To Protect,
Pledge To Heal;
OUR WETLANDS......

World Wetlands Day is celebrated all over the world on 2nd Feb. We need to change the way we think about Wetlands. Lets preserve urban Wetlands as they give life to our cities.

We collaborated with Phagwara Environment Club to celebrate World Wetlands Day. 61 students visited the Phagwara Blood Bank where the celebrations was organized. We deliberated on United Nation's SDGoal No.- 13 (Climate Action), 14 (Life Below Water) and 15 (Life On Land).

Students sang in unison, "Together We  Can Change The World..."
Students participated in the quiz on Wetlands.
Students came back to the school Empowered.

SDG's Post#17 All set for SDG Spring Carnival

"No Winter Last For EVER,
  No Spring Skips Its TURN....."

We faced severe Winter in December 2017 and January 2018 in this part of India. Moods were Blue. One wear layers of clothes to go to School which is situated admist farms in the Village Chak Hakim.

Cheer Up ! We will celebrate "SDG Spring Carnival" in School. All students of Kindergarten to Grade-V would participate. "Oh ! we will invite the parents too.", We decided.

Now we are up and out. Left the winter blue aside. All classes are practicing for the show. Plan to have some surprises for the parents too !

We will Sing and Dance SDG's !
We are the SDG Generation !

SDG's Post #18 SDG Goalkeepers

We Put Our Heads Together !
We Deliberated !
We Brainstormed !
Then We Just Agreed !

We agreed to let the United Nation's 17 Sustainable Development Goals be in our classrooms.

We agreed to link the present curriculum to United Nation's 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

We agreed to be the CHANGE AGENTS and update our students for the United Nation's 17 SDG's.

We agreed to involve the larger community and Practice, Preach and Propagate the United Nation's 17 Sustainable Development Goals in our school.

Since May, 2016 there has been no looking back.

We live SDG's in our School..
We live SDG's in our Homes...
We are the SDG Goalkeepers...
