So when did I learn about Wakelet?

On 24^th Aug 2019 at 9:17 pm IST, When Ms. Mira Speakup shared her Wakelet with code = 6f92342 in “The Friendly AI” project’s messenger group.

Wondered What was it all about? 

Had to download Wakelet app on my phone and then could open and see the content shared by Ms. Meera Speakup one of the participants amongst 2400+ students & educators from 29 countries taking part in “The Friendly AI” project initiated by KNPS.

Being the Head Teacher at Kamla Nehru Public School #MicrosoftShowcaseSchool is a challenging job especially when you are pedagogical leader, responsible for  Examinations, capacity building of your educators, for school accounts and above all welfare, well being, safety & security of your students, educators and school support staff team.

Looks a BIG tasks? 

Not really!

A great team by your side and your passion makes the going smooth.

The project continued by I totally for set about Wakelet. Next it was MIEE monthly Teams call when Mr. Teijas talked about Wakelet. Ms. Manju Chillar  MIEE India talked about her Hindi Language Wakelet collection and the Hindi Wakelet eBook.

Participated as one of the Head Teacher of Microsoft School in panel discussion on

19^th Nov 2019. 

Got an opportunity to listen to Mr. Teijas who shared What’s  & Why's of Wakelet. Realized I had to introduced it to my staff at KNPS. Yes as the Head Teacher you are always busy involved in one or other. Responsibility of your school. All the while, exploring Wakelet was in mind.

Still not using Wakelet I thought.

Come Jan 2020, The Belt Malaysia Application had to be filled- last date. So decided to use Wakelet in the group mode. The leadership team was all in action. The question from the online form were copied and we started collaborating and contributing for the Answer.

To and Behold! The action was completed and the record in tact in the Wakelet.

Now happy with my curation.

No looking back. A request for skype call planned next when Mr. Teijas introduced Wakelet to 58 educators of Kamla Nehru Public School.

The Wakelet wave is rising High.

Got an opportunity to be the Resource Person for “Happy Classroom” on 19^th Sept 2019 at Manav Sehyog School, Jalandhar.

62 Educators from different CBSE Schools in and around Jalandhar joined the Capacity Building Program.

This is a very interesting, very simple but a program which changes your perspective to what Happiness in all about.

The Happy teacher can integrate happiness in all subjects. She teaches and foster happiness amongst the students. No additional hours for teaching Happiness is required in the schools. Happy Classroom would make both the teachers & students happy. This Capacity Building Program is designed to foster Happiness of a teacher with the goal to make the classroom Happy.

Together we deliberated upon the concept “Happy Teacher” make Happy Classroom.

Together we explored ways & means of Happiness.

Together we shared strategies for making our classroom Happy.

Felt it a responsibility to introduce UN’s 17 SD Goals. Happiness lies in making others Happy and building a sustainable world. Discussed UN 2030 Agenda. Talked about Global Day celebration from 21^st Sept to 30^th Sept worldwide to make our Classroom Happy, Teacher Happy. We need to build a sustainable world by achieving #SDG by 2030.

So pulled out 5 minutes post lunch to promote & preach SDG’s.
