Dr. David E. Guggenheim is a marine scientist, conservation policy specialist, ocean explorer, submarine pilot and educator. He is the founder and president of the Washington, DC-based nonprofit organization, Ocean Doctor, dedicated to advancing the conservation of the world’s oceans through scientific research, education and community engagement. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Johns Hopkins University – Advanced Academic Programs teaching Ocean Stewardship and Sustainability.

RiseUp4SDGs International Collaborative Project

 #RiseUp4SDGs (Jan 2021 to September 2021) is an International Community Educational Advocacy Program. SDG promoters from schools get together twice a month (each 2nd and 4th Friday) to discuss Global Goals one by one and to share best practices of its advocacy in schools during the virtual conference.

 Purpose of initiating RiseUp4SDGs International Collaborative Project is to unite all educators, children in schools and all global stakeholders to help in accelerating UN2030 Agenda. It is the journey of SDG empowerment in schools and aim to create a generation of Educators & Learners, today who understand SDG’s and have Knowledge, Skill and Attitude to promote Sustainable Development among others through Education by living a Sustainable Human Life.

 We are sanguine that these fortnightly sessions delving deep into each SDG one by one, as well as release of individualized newsletters devoted to each SDG and a walk through in the Virtual Art Gallery, an exhibition of Students’ Art Creations related to #SDGs will go a long way in SDGs advocacy. 

The community is impacted because the Outreach is exemplary: 

• 69 Panelist from 25 countries Egypt, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Lebanon, Philippines, Maldives, Malaysia, Romania, Russia, Thailand, Israel, Albania, UAE, Nepal, USA, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, UK, Taiwan, Macedonia, Armenia, Peru, South Africa, Croatia and India participated in 10 Conferences held till date.

 • 3654+ Educators and Students attended Online Conference RiseUp4SDGs, Ten Episodes till date.

 • 854 educators from 46 countries are collaborating.

 2796 students globally are contributing their posters, raps, artwork, articles, write ups, videos through Wakelet. 10 Editions of E-Newsletters published with students' work.
